The Mini.
Noels mini came to us after having been restored at another workshop. We were asked to look over the car explore any areas that looked suspect.
Sadly we found bogged up rust and repairs made with sikaflex. Noel was rightfully disappointed that the previous workshop had not done a proper job but, being the Mini enthusiast he was, he made the decision to have us strip the car and start again.
We did extensive rust repairs including:
A complete new front — new left and right guards and nose cone
New door skins
Repairs to: door frame, cowl panel, A pillar, lower quarter panel on both sides
Rear pan replacement
Battery box repairs
Once all the rust repairs were done we set about making sure the fit and finish was to our standards before laying down that beautiful two tone BASF paint job consisting of Nurburg white roof and bonnet stripes and Yukon grey body.
Working closely with Aaron from Mini and Moke Restorations who performed all the mechanical work this was the first car to leave our workshop complete under its own power.
Noels mini was then exported and sold in Japan!
See photos below of some of the extensive repair work we completed and some of the parts we replaced — keep in mind this car had supposedly already been restored!
